Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
You know how great cycling is, so help other people find out about it too. Print out any of these posters or images and stick them up in your office, your home, your bedroom windows and anywhere else you think people will see them.
Be proud to be a cyclist!
Year of the bike
Bristol and the surrounding areas are going bike-crazy right now. It's the year of the bike and we've come up with some great posters to help promote the theme. Download a PDF with the 'year of the bike' theme here.
Get cycling... everyone's doing it
Posters with the Get Cycling theme will be used throughout the city during 2010. The Splash poster appears in Venue and the cycle training advert can be found in the Bristol Royal Infirmary hospital guide.
Radio ads
Heard us on the radio? Two ads aired on Jack FM and Star FM during March. Download a zip file with both ads at this link.
Bike Security
The Cycling City bike passport is a trial project to help reduce bike crime. Read more about it at this news release or download and print your own copy.
Cycle training
These two adverts (male and female) were published in What's On Bristol, Suit Yourself and Folio magazine. Stick them up in your workplace to spread the word.
Christmas advert
Our Christmas advert was published in Venue magazine and Big Issue. Download it, print it and stick it up somewhere visible if you'd like to get more people visiting this website and finding out how easy it is to start cycling.
Postcards
These eight postcards span the history of the bicycle, from the humble penny-farthing to today's all-terrain, full-suspension mountain bikes.
Download the PDF here, or call into Cycling City's office at Brunel House, St George's Road, Bristol if you'd like to pick up some for yourself.
Roadside banners
To promote the Better By Bike website, Cycling City produced and installed 12 giant roadside banners. They measure about 8 metres each so you can't really miss them. They were installed at locations including: Coronation Road, Newfoundland Way, Bath Road, Jacob Wells Road, St James Barton roundabout, the Grove, UWE, the A4124 to Hartcliffe, St Phillip's Causeway, and Westbury Road.
